William C. Goggins
William C. Goggins is an experienced civil litigator. The primary focus of the civil practice involves personal injury claims, Surrogates Court litigation, and contract disputes. Mr. Goggins has won numerous verdicts and decisions on behalf of his clients. William C. Goggins has handled over 3,000 civil and criminal matters resulting in favorable dispositions for his clients over the past twenty (20) years. As an experienced trial attorney, Mr. Goggins has engaged in over one hundred (100) civil and criminal trials. As an effective trial lawyer, Mr. Goggins has been able to secure numerous jury verdicts and decisions in favor of his clients. Mr. Goggins has become one of the most experienced and competent attorneys in Suffolk County handling Driving While Intoxicated trials as well as personal injury litigation.
Anthony H. Palumbo
As an Assistant District Attorney for Suffolk County, Mr. Palumbo handled thousands of criminal cases, both felony and misdemeanor. He was the lead attorney in over 50 trials and handled cases including charges such as Manslaughter, Rape, Robbery, Narcotics Sales and Attempted Murder. After establishing himself as seasoned trial attorney, Mr. Palumbo was promoted to the position of Trial Supervisor for the five eastern Townships of Suffolk County (Southampton, Easthampton, Riverhead, Southold and Shelter Island), overseeing all of the trials in the East End.
In 2004, Mr. Palumbo left the District Attorney's Office for private practice and joined Mr. Goggins establishing the law firm of Goggins & Palumbo. He now focuses his practice on criminal defense and plaintiff's personal injury in the areas of Automobile Accidents, Construction Site Accidents, Product Liability and General Negligence in both the State and Federal Courts. Mr. Palumbo's accomplishments earned him recognition in Who's Who in American Law in 2007.
Mr. Palumbo earned his undergraduate degree from Lafayette College and his law degree from St. John's University where he was a member of the Moot Court Honor Society. He has lectured at local schools and Dowling College about Criminal Law.
Donald A. Mates, Jr.
After graduation from St John's Law School, Mr. Mates received a commission from the United States Army where he served as a Captain in the Judge Advocates Generals Corp. Upon completion of his service to our Country, Mr. Mates served the County of Suffolk as an Assistant District Attorney where he worked as a Prosecutor for twelve (12) years engaging in over sixty (60) trials. As Counsel for our firm, Mr. Mates handles many of our felony and misdemeanor cases in the Suffolk County District Court as well as Domestic issues and proceedings in the Family Court.
Tracy L. Karsch
After graduation from Colby College and St. John's Law School, Tracy L. Karsch started her career as an associate for the law Firm of Sullivan, Papain, Block, McGrath & Cannavo. Assigned to the firm's Medical Malpractice Unit in Lower Manhattan, Ms. Karsch handled all types of personal injury cases, concentrating on plaintiff's who suffered injuries due to a medical professional's
failure to diagnose cancer.
After relocating to the East End, Ms. Karsch joined the law firm of Twomey, Latham, Shea & Kelley in Riverhead. She widened her law practice to include Real Estate, Land Use and Commercial Litigation. In 2005, Ms. Karsch joined Goggins & Palumbo as an of counsel attorney. Her practice is focused on Personal Injury, General Litigation, Land Use and Real Estate.
